The ServiceNow® Smart Assessment Connected application enables the following:
- Responding to assessments
- Navigate the assessments efficiently using a progress indicator showing how much of the evaluation is completed. Questions are paginated to help you more easily navigate the assessment. Your work is automatically saved, eliminating the need for manual saving and helping to prevent data loss. You also have the option to reassign in-progress assessments to another user or cancel assessments that are no longer needed.
- Combining multiple assessments into a single, unified submission
- Combine multiple assigned assessments into a single, streamlined view. You can efficiently manage, submit, or reassign these combined assessments. You can use features like bulk submit or bulk reassign to handle all assessments in one action.
- A user-friendly interface for users to submit assessments.
- Quick navigation within the assessment.
- The ability to track assessment submission progress.

- Question-level comments: Responders and Assessment readers can post comments at the question level. Allows users to collaborate better at a more granular level or questions which need modifications
- Question-level worknotes: By default, this feature is disabled, but the smart assessment admin can enable this at the template category level. Users with configured roles on the template category can only post in work notes. This is primarily for the internal users for example, Internal auditors, third-party risk managers and this is at the question level

- Question-level flagging: By default, responders and assessment readers can flag a question which needs attention. It's life cycle is Unflagged -> Flagged -> Resolved -> Unflagged. You can also control who can utilize this feature at template category level
- Embedded Assessments: We support the embedding of assessments in the business workflow for certain use cases. We can enable embedded assessments at the template category level and control access using upstream application records. For example, if you embed control attestation in the control record.
